Famous For My Dinner Parties #3

Originally launched off the back of the three years of online stories, the lovely lot behind Famous for my Dinner Parties return with their much anticipated third issue, a bright orange, loosely conceived ‘concept zine’ exploring how various aspects of the food zeitgeist reflect ‘the anxieties of being alive in the world today.’

Though this magazine’s pages are small in stature, editorial team Sandra, Junshen, and Yannic use them fully to explore food as it fits into larger cultural and societal issues—though lush photography and illustration abound, this is not a recipe or cookery magazine.

Expect a rich offering of stories, this time all produced in-house by the team (including some playful ads). There’s five instances of food breaking the law; Peking duck diplomacy; the uninspiring history of the microwave; food fairytales reimagined; a photo series of food mishaps; and hilarious attempts to make Eggs Benedict via a game of telephone, played amongst the team and their collaborators. We love!
