Woman * to Woman *

Woman* to Woman* constitutes a tribute to contemporary femininities and develops through the call and participation of female professionals in the fields of contemporary art and other similar fields of culture today. It focuses both on the research, study, and showcase of existing narratives about women – and the potential evolution and expansion of those stories, but also on mapping, developing, and adding new ones – concerning the topics of gender equality, empowerment, and inclusion of all femininities.

The narrators are young creators, more specifically curators Christina Petkopoulou, Eleni Riga, Mare Spanoudaki, and Evita Tsokanta, and designers Korina Gallika, Marilia Kapetanaki, Eleni Karamanoglou, and Eirini Vrettou.

Referencing the writings of psychoanalyst Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and particularly her understanding of the female nature and psyche, the publication emerged from their meetings and the intersections of their work. The contributors wonder how her approach could help us cope with the increasing social challenges we face today. On the other hand, they are preoccupied with how this legacy could (co-)shape contemporary artistic practices.
