Los And Chris. Ode To Friendship

Los And Cchris. Ode To Friendship is a book about intimacy, memory, and the language of connection and creation. The material includes paintings and ceramics, performances, found objects, memories, snapshots of Athens, and visual scores – a constellation of gestures that reflects Yorgia’s distinct gaze and traces a strong, lived imprint on the reception and feedback of both the visual and inter/personal alphabet and the artistic process itself.

The book is the result of a months-long collaboration between Yorgia Karidi and publishers Viktor Gogas and Sofia Zoitou, aimed at materializing Yorgia’s world into an object that resonates aesthetically with its contents. Its narrative unfolds in a way that transforms individual works into a coherent whole, with rhythm and evolution, whose varied layers are further emphasized through the materiality of the publication itself. Each image featured in the book is accompanied by a corresponding caption at the end of this bilingual edition.

The publication includes fragments from the personal archive of Yorgia Karidi and is accompanied by a discussion between the artist and Danae Stefanou, based on Yorgia’s practice in the context of the book.
