Frieze #260

Frieze #260

 13.00

Over 34 years, Frieze has developed from outsider indie to the leading magazine for contemporary art and culture, and during that time has spawned art fairs in London, New York and Los Angeles. It provides international art coverage, criticism and analysis, and promises (if not always delivers) jargon-free language.

On the cover of this June/July/August 2026 issue is a granular Caran d’Ache pencil piece by Donna Huddleston, titled ‘Odyssey’. Inside, Huddleston reflects on her years working on film sets and how this influenced the dream-like mis-en-scenes she now creates. Elsewhere, four love letters celebrate the 50th anniversary of the artists’ bookshop Printed Matter in New York, the artist Ana Mendieta is remembered by her close friend Liliana Porter, and Daisy Lafarge writes about the embodied experience of illness and disability in art. Plus, you’ll also find the usual ‘Reviews’ section, offering insight and critique into recent exhibitions from across the globe.
