Krista Papista is an artist and music producer born in Nicosia and based in Berlin. Papista’s work engages in developing and queering politically induced Cypriot and Balkan pop, infusing it with elements of Eurotrash and EDM. Through anarchic performances, videos, images and music, Krista Papista creates works that function as subversive counterpoints to homogenous, nationalist narratives.
