Kosmas Pavlidis: Sunny Days A True Story

Kosmas Pavlidis explores a former major arterial road in Northern Greece, now abandoned. The photographer captures the route’s remnants, which are decaying due to neglect and the impact of the new, parallel highway. Once familiar landmarks are now covered in dust and slowly being forgotten. ‘Sunny Days, A True Story’ documents unsettling spaces and artefacts that belong to a strange, mysterious world. It includes portraits of the people living off-grid in this area: hermits, runaways, artists. The series contrasts their self-contained lives and the transformation of the landscape with local development schemes and exclusion policies.
