For this new volume, we have challenged a new group of contributors to consider what may be better. Better than what? The aspiration, improvement, longing, ambition, idealism, envy, distraction, illusion, and delusion of what is better than now, better than what we have, better than what we are. An ideas which, though we dip in and out of light and shadow, we choose to land in optimism. We believe, fundamentally, that we can and will be better.
