Archivio #11: The Tech Issue

Archivio is a biannual Italian magazine focused on archives and the edition is exclusively built with archive’s documents. Each issue involves the most relevant archives from all over the world with a high quality selection of pictures and exclusive contents.

The Tech Issue is the third of four themed issues, each curated by a Guest Editor with deep expertise in the field. Their role is to open the doors to archives and guide us through vast and fascinating worlds.

This issue is curated by Massimo Banzi, co-founder of Arduino, together with Cecilia Botta, Head of Memories at Promemoria Group and technology historian.
The editorial direction is by Daniela Hamaui, with Alessandro Gori overseeing art direction.
The cover is a custom project designed by the artist Ailadi.

ARCHIVIO N°11 offers an international overview of technology archives, divided into three sections — Stories, Institutions, and Collectors & Collectives.
It also includes a special poster: an (in)complete mapping of hidden technology archives in Italy, researched by Promemoria Group and visualized by Accurat.
