On Thursday 27 February, 8:00pm Hyper Hypo and Eris Press are very pleased to invite you to a book launch soirée and signing for NOON by Efthimis Filippou. The author will be here to meet the audience, as well as to sign his book.
Julia Tsiakiri, founder of To Rodakio editions and Photagogos bookstore, will share her insight on Filippou’s work, Kiriakos Karseras will talk about the process of translating the text, Katerina Papanagiotou from MNP design studio will talk about the design process that went into this multi-volume book, and awarded actressAngeliki Papoulia will read selected parts from the limited edition publication.
The presentation will be held in Greek.
NOON is a collection of six works from Filippou’s non- filmic oeuvre. First presented between 2011 and 2021, these texts take various forms: plays, flash fictions, epistolary narratives, short stories, monologues, song lyrics and short scenes.
Published for the first time in English, NOON is available as an award-winning (TDC, 2023) limited edition box set and includes the following works: Apologiae 4 & 5, Scenes, Various Picks Petros, Rob, Haemata, Liver.
Efthimis Filipou is an author, playwright, screenwriter, and journalist. His works for the stage have been presented at the Athens Epidaurus Festival, the Greek National Opera, the National Theatre of Greece, Onassis Stegi, and elsewhere in Greece and beyond. His works for the screen have been awarded at such film festivals as Cannes and Venice, and nominated at the Oscars.
