Book presentation, artist talk & Exhibition: THE END by Dimitris Rokos

On Thursday, 2 April, 8 pm don’t miss the presentation of the book THE END by Dimitris Rokos.

Hyper Hypo and Inkpress Publications invite you to the presentation of the book THE END by Dimitris Rokos. THE END was released in June 2025 and constitutes the first part of a publishing trilogy. Each book documents a different stage in the realization of the project, turning the creative process itself into a central narrative element.

During the presentation, original full-size drawings from the book will be exhibited — the very same pages that will be colored for the next two episodes of the trilogy.

The presentation will be held in Greek.

About the book:

The filming of a low-budget science fiction movie about the end of the world becomes an opportunity for the crew to confront the fear of their own end. At the same time, it gives the book’s creator the chance to reflect on his artistic value and to entangle himself in a never-ending, multi-year creative process.

In an era where humanity seems to live through — or constantly imagine — potential catastrophes, painter Dimitris Rokos draws inspiration from the most controversial and darker aspects of contemporary conflict culture. With this inspiration, an epic series of sci-fi art comics, centered on art and procrastination begins.

DIMITRIS ROKOS (b. 1980) is a visual artist, DJ, and founding member of Kormoranos. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts. He has presented two solo exhibitions in Athens (2006, 2012), one in Paris (2014), as well as numerous group exhibitions in Greece and across Europe. He has illustrated posters and record covers for artists such as Erol Alkan, Molly Nilsson, Simple Symmetry, and Acid Baby Jesus.

As a DJ, he has performed at numerous parties and festivals throughout Greece, often alongside international DJs and live acts. In recent years, he has been actively involved in audiovisual projects of various kinds, taking on many different roles.
