Martin Parr Souvenir Shop: Opening & Book Signing

Motherland presents the opening of Martin Parr Souvenir Shop at Hyper Hypo, with Mr. Parr in person signing copies of his latest book “Fashion Faux Parr” published by Phaidon Press as well as other selected classic titles from his storied catalogue published by Dewi Lewis Publishing.

Inspired by the color-saturated world of Parr’s photography, Hyper Hypo’s lower-level project space will be transformed into a version of a seaside souvenir shop. In the shop you will find a limited edition array of summer-themed, made in Greece items like beach bags, t-shirts and beach towels, all printed with an iconic Martin Parr photo, produced by Motherland Productions and available exclusively at Hyper Hypo. There will be books, of course, and on display there will be original works by the artist.

Mr. Parr will be in the shop for one evening only, June 18th from 6-9pm, signing copies of his books, while the seasonal shop will remain open throughout the summer until August 31st.
